Honoring Her Elemental Rhythms

An introduction to living cyclically and embodying nature's rhythms

Meet HER

We'll gather to honor the elemental rhythm of that particular season.
Spring = Air
Summer = Fire
Fall = Water
Winter = Earth

A day to meet you where you are within the season we're in, to introduce the practice of living cyclically

The intention: to learn how to live more closely with the rhythm of nature in a world that asks us to be linear.

The element is the guide.
The menstrual cycle is the map we'll use.
The season is the landscape.

Orient to where you are.
Listen for what's needed.
Move from there.

You don't need a menstrual cycle to explore living in harmony with nature's rhythms!

The menstrual cycle is the map we'll explore, but it isn't a requirement to participate in a HER workshop.

Whether you're menstruating, experiencing an irregular cycle, approaching menopause, or are no longer menstruating, you still live within the rhythms of energy and change.

HER is about tuning into your body and capacity, and permitting yourself to move from there.

Curiosity is the only requirement here.

Become more familiar with your own rhythm

HER Invitation

This is a day to be in community, listen inward, move our bodies in ways that feel good, and explore what becomes possible when we begin living in relationship with our energetic rhythm.

In a world that prioritizes forward momentum and constant output, Honoring HER invites us to return to the intelligence of our bodies and harness the ebb and flow inherent within our nature.

"The cycle teaches us how to be with change...how to keep moving with what's moving us."

-Sjanie Hugo Wurlitzer from the Red School

We'll receive insights into how to meet our inner seasons in supportive and aligned ways.

We'll learn how others experience different phases of their cycle, like how they work with the energies that arise and how they support themselves through challenges, resistance, or imbalance.

Our facilitators will only share invitations, not rules or prescriptions to follow.

Although the menstrual cycle is one map we'll orient to, we'll place focus on the rhythms of renewal, change, release, rest, and beginning again.

What matters most is that you become more familiar with your ever-changing rhythms and learn what feels supportive for you.

The essence of HER is to learn to
Love Your Nature

Our Next Workshop

Release
with the Element of Water
Saturday, October 10, 2026
at Inner Alignment Studios

There are times to push, and there are times to rest. There are times to be social, and there are times to retreat into our metaphorical caves. Just like the sun rises and sets, and the moonlight builds and diminishes, our energy naturally rises and falls, waxing and waning throughout the month, too.

Honoring HER helps us to learn to stop going against our nature and to follow the rhythm that life moves in - in a spiraling circle, continually beginning and ending.

When we learn to live in tune with our ever-changing rhythm, we feel less "crazy" and more empowered in our choices. We begin to ride the wave of our creative inspirations, relish in our emphatic 'yes', honor our sacred 'no', and become less inclined to dishonor and override ourselves when something must go or come to an end.

We begin to embrace change and honor our timing.

Moving with Our Nature

HER - Air

Season of Spring and the Cardinal Direction of East | Mapping the Follicular or the Waxing Moon Phase

To adequately meet the element of Air in Spring, we'll ground ourselves with gentle yet strong movement before meditation. We'll be guided through a vocal activation so that we may coherently speak our heart's desires and eloquently take risks.

An intentional meal will be offered to support this season, and we'll close the workshop with a circle to share what stayed with us through our exploration.

HER Air vibration
HER Air vibration

For some, the entry into inner spring can be glorious, and for others, the newness of the season can bring about anxiety - like the vulnerability of a new sapling that has just burst from the dark ground.

Spring is our inhale and our seeds of potential stirring to life.

HER - Fire

Fire gives us the juice and drive to go after our desires. It's our passion in motion, confidence embodied, and our power backed by our own spine.

Season of Summer and the Cardinal Direction of South | Mapping the Ovulation or the Full Moon Phase

For many, summer can be a fun, social, and groovy time. Joyfully being with others, supporting others like the super-women we are, and feeling the fullness of what we bring to the table can be easy to access during this inner season.

This container begins with breathwork to help tap into our inner fire. To contain it or to fan it. We'll move into dancing to embrace our fire - to meet it with aliveness and awareness. May what rises during this session help to empower us in our chosen steps forward.

HER fire vibration
HER fire vibration

But what happens when our fires are too weak to sustain our dreams? What happens when our fires are continually fed with other people's logs of expectations? Overwhelm. Breakdown. Burnout.

HER - Water

For many, the shift into inner fall can be disorienting, painful, and vulnerable. The capacity to meet everyone's needs and the buffer that seems easy to access in the first half of the cycle diminish, and with that, irritation and reaction can rise easily.

Season of Fall and the Cardinal Direction of West | Mapping the Luteal or the Waning Moon Phase

Fall is the season of our exhale, where we no longer need to hold everything together or hold things in.

In this season, we'll work with the power of our truth through movement; we'll unmask our honest desires with meditation and journaling, and we'll learn to stand strong within our vibrations by gently composting what is no longer ours to carry, like unhelpful stories.

HER water vibration
HER water vibration

Water helps us to release. To release what is stagnant within us and to release unrealistic expectations of ourselves.

OR

HER - Earth

Earth is where we root ourselves before beginning the cycle all over again. It's where we're invited to press pause, to rest, to hibernate, and to retreat.

Season of Winter and the Cardinal Direction of North | Mapping the Menstrual or the New Moon Phase

Our ancestors knew well the importance of 'shifting down' along with the shorter days in the winter months. How can we carve out time for ourselves to rest, integrate, and replenish before meeting the dawn of a new day, week, month, or venture?

In a world that tells us it's selfish to slow down and tend to our needs before anyone else, we offer this space to slow down anyway. We nourish ourselves with yin ways to tend to the body before we move into our teaching portion of the workshop, and we take time to meet ourselves with loving attention in our journals.

Honoring HER will be co-facilitated by women on the path of Loving Her Nature

Crystal Castellanos

Ollie is a holistic chef and content creator that shares her joy of nourishing the body with real, organic, nutrient dense, whole foods that come from the earth. Her health journey has led her to heal both her gut and her hormones naturally through what she puts in her body and when; from this, she has found a deep calling to share her knowledge and bring people together over the healing powers of food. She pours her love and energy into every meal she creates with the intention of providing the deepest nourishment for your mind, body, and soul.

Crystal is a facilitator and space-holder devoted to creating grounded environments for self-connection and honest exploration. For over four years, she has guided women's talking circles with presence. Her gatherings are often celebrated for their intentionality and depth of connection they invite. HER was seeded in 2023 as Crystal deepened her relationship with her own cyclical nature, a path that started in 2017 through experiences with cystic acne and stress overload. What began as a search for balance became an ongoing practice of listening to and working with her body. Through years of experimentation and supportive practices, she found a rhythm that felt sustainable. Today, she shares this work with other women, inviting them to explore the wisdom of their cycles and reconnect with their body's cues for support.

Mari Phillips

Mari is an embodied movement facilitator, devoted to creating safe and empowering spaces for women to return home to their bodies and their truth. She weaves joy and play into the healing process, and supports women in creating deeper safety within their bodies & nervous systems to more fully inhabit their physical vessel and cultivate a more consistently loving relationship with their body. In the HER Workshop, she will lead a movement practice called Shake Rising, a modality that blends fitness, dance, somatic shaking and embodied affirmations. In this practice, we will activate our life force energy, reprogram the subconscious mind, and regulate our nervous system through guided and intuitive movement, ultimately allowing us to be more liberated, more authentically grounded in our truth, and more at home in our bodies.
