The Circle in Detail
This gathering takes place on the last Saturday of each month, except in November and December. Typically, the circle opens at 3:00 pm, closes around 4:30 pm, and a potluck is held until 5:30 pm.
Each circle centers around a Contemplation: a monthly topic for reflection. Themes for the contemplation may be inspired by the new or full moon of that month, or by what's feeling alive in the days leading up to the circle.
The contemplations serve as invitations to explore our personal traits, beliefs, and patterns. Each woman decides how deeply she wishes to engage with the topic.
The reflection topic guides self-inquiry, bringing awareness to what seeks attention, and provides a framework for exploration and sharing in the circle.
After a brief settling, the talking circle lasts one hour. This provides a structured space for each woman to share her reflections.
Each woman's share may be acknowledged with presence or a simple reflection of their share by the host. This is not a space where participants respond to each other.
When the location offers a larger gathering place, the circles are capped at 13 participants. When there are more women in the circle, there will be flexibility to choose to listen instead of share, as the time for sharing is not extended.
This is a co-created and private space where women gather in authenticity to witness and support one another.
Most gatherings include a potluck after the circle, offering space for deeper connection, conversation, and reflection beyond the talking circle.

All attendees must read and agree to the community guidelines before attending a gathering.
To foster deep connections and community, this circle is open to women who call the Big Island home. Trusted sisters can invite a traveling friend as long as they read the guidelines.
